- Unattended installs using distribution folder/CD and answer files - Sysprep (images) - RIS (requires AD) To do what you are asking you'd need to use sysprep in conjunction with a 3rd party product like Symantec Ghost, and you may need multiple images depending on the HAL's needed for each type of machine. >-----Original Message----- >I work for a colege our net work is novell 5.1 server(no >DNS or DHCP all computers are on static IP) and windows >2000 pro for work stations ..my question is we have to >reinstall the OS and office suite on all computers(600) >is there a way i can use sysprep to make an image of the >complete build and slip it over the net (like most >schools and coleges our computers are not all the same ) >with out useing Ras server or zenworks .with no cost to >the colege . our back bone is 1 gig and our nics our set >for 100 megs, this will be done over a lan.
