Hi,
I have this problem about sending mails using IIS5.0 SMTP server. I have the following, Server Hostname: TEST001 Server IP: 192.111.117.158 Mailserver IP: 192.20.172.11 (MS Exchange) All IPs has been renamed for confidentiality sake. Therefore, the IP may look weird to some of you. Below are the settings in the SMTP server. SMTP IP: 192.111.117.158 Access\Relay\Only Listed Below: 192.20.172.11, 192.111.117.158 Delivery\Advanced\Masquerade Domain: 192.111.117.158 Delivery\Advanced\Smart Host: 202.27.160.11 I am using the program Server Alive to monitor our servers. If there is an event, Server Alive will sent out a mail via the SMTP server. The Server Alive program and the SMTP server is in the same physical server and sharing the same IP, 192.111.117.158. The mail can be created. However, after some time, it goes to the Badmail folder. Below are the SMTP log, #Software: Microsoft Internet Information Services 5.0 #Version: 1.0 #Date: 2003-07-08 01:41:53 #Fields: date time c-ip s-sitename s-computername s-ip s-port cs-method sc-win32-status time-taken cs-host 2003-07-08 01:41:53 192.111.117.158 SMTPSVC1 test001 192.111.117.158 0 HELO 0 0 - 2003-07-08 01:41:53 192.111.117.158 SMTPSVC1 test001 192.111.117.158 0 MAIL 0 0 - 2003-07-08 01:41:53 192.111.117.158 SMTPSVC1 test001 192.111.117.158 0 RCPT 0 0 - 2003-07-08 01:41:53 192.111.117.158 SMTPSVC1 test001 192.111.117.158 0 DATA 0 16 - 2003-07-08 01:41:53 192.111.117.158 SMTPSVC1 test001 192.111.117.158 0 QUIT 16 0 - 2003-07-08 01:41:55 - SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 - 0 2063 - 2003-07-08 01:41:55 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 EHLO 0 2063 - 2003-07-08 01:41:55 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 - 0 2328 - 2003-07-08 01:41:55 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 MAIL 0 2328 - 2003-07-08 01:41:55 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 - 0 2594 - 2003-07-08 01:41:55 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 RCPT 0 2594 - 2003-07-08 01:41:55 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 - 0 2906 - 2003-07-08 01:41:55 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 RSET 0 2906 - 2003-07-08 01:41:57 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 - 0 3313 - 2003-07-08 01:41:57 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 QUIT 0 3328 - 2003-07-08 01:41:57 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 - 0 3656 - 2003-07-08 01:42:02 - SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 - 0 4578 - 2003-07-08 01:42:02 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 EHLO 0 4578 - 2003-07-08 01:42:02 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 - 0 4984 - 2003-07-08 01:42:02 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 MAIL 0 4984 - 2003-07-08 01:42:02 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 - 0 5313 - 2003-07-08 01:42:02 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 RCPT 0 5313 - 2003-07-08 01:42:03 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 - 0 5609 - 2003-07-08 01:42:03 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 RSET 0 5609 - 2003-07-08 01:42:03 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 - 0 5953 - 2003-07-08 01:42:03 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 QUIT 0 5984 - 2003-07-08 01:42:03 SMTP SMTPSVC1 test001 - 25 - 0 6250 - I have tried http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...kb;en-us;276347 but still does not work. Does anyone has any clue about this? As the MS Exchange server is not located in our office, (located in another country), must any changes must be done to the Exchange server end? Thank you. Best Regards, Wei Yu |
