Default W2K pro missing file on startup

My PC indicates that the file; winnt\system\vgaoem.fon is
missing or corrupt upon startup. It says I can repair it
by pressing 'r' in setup. How do I go into setup?

Do I reboot with W2k program disk in the cd-rom drive? I
tried that and can't get it to boot off disk. Nothing
seems to happen.

Any suggestions?

Ron

Look for the key stroke at POST to get it to boot the CD-Rom. Else boot the
setup disks to start the repair process.

Thanks Dave. I got the vgaoem.fon file replaced and
system comes up but runs extremely slow, like 1/50 of the
speed. It took 15 mins to load all the desktop files.
Updated NAV2003 definition files from 9/04/03 to 9/11/03
and started to run it. It has Adaware 6 and ZoneAlarm
running. Tried to run Adaware but the utility runs so slow
and bogs down the system even more. Task mgr. says CPU is
running at 3-5% and memory usage is low also. RAM is 512
mb. All file or folder manipulations are running
extremely slow. Is this an indication of a Trojan virus?
I tried to boot the NAV2003 disk from coldstart, it
doesn't boot. Any suggestions?

I tried the in-place upgrade. It won't allow an in-place
upgrade of w2k because it goes to the partition page. Is
there a site to instruct me correctly how to re-install
w2k pro? Thanks for any advice.
