Default CD ROM drives not working

Hi

Everythings been OK for ages now this morning, I find my CD ROM drives don't
work. I have tried un-installing the drives and then re-installing them
along with the drivers but each time the Device Manager indicates 'The
registry might be corrupted (Error 19)'

I'm at a loss where to go from here!

Can anyone help?

Many thanks
Nigel Callen
