I don't understand why it only works for Administrator. I must be doing
something wrong. Any ideas? Thanks, Jack T. |

Dear Jack,
Thank you for your posting. According to your post, domain logon script only function on Administrator account. If I have misunderstood your concern please don't hesitate to let me know. 1. Please firstly confirm that the non-Admin account has been assigned logon script with correct steps. You may refer to the following article for detailed information: 258286 HOW TO: Assign a Logon Script to a Profile for a Local User in Windows http://support.microsoft.com/?id=258286 More Information ============= 198642 Overview of Logon, Logoff, Startup, and Shutdown Scripts in Windows 2000 http://support.microsoft.com/?id=198642 2. If the problem still remains, please provide me with the complete content of logon error message for further research. Thank you for your reply. My methods were correct. The command did not
work across the security boundaries of anybody except the administrator. Duh. Thanks, Jack T. |

Dear Jack,
Thank you for your response. If the logon script is about domain user account, 258286 won't work since it's about computer's local account. I appreciate your confirmation. To troubleshoot the execution of logon profile for domain user account, please refer to the following article: 302104 The Logon Script Does Not Run During the Initial Logon Process http://support.microsoft.com/?id=302104 More Information ============= How to assign user logon scripts http://www.microsoft.com/windows200...assignLogonscri pts.htm Sincerely, Seaver |
