Default setup process goes in circles

I've been trying to reinstall corrupted w2000 using the same installation
disk and exactly as I installed it earlier:

1. I booted into nt4 from another partition on the same disk, started w2k
installation CD and opted for a new installation. Using options offered I
deleted the partition with corrupted w2k, created a new partition and
fromated to NTFS.

2.It proceeded OK untill I was asked to enter computer name, then Admin
password then it requested re-boot.

3. After rebooting it seem to return to where it was installing devices like
keyboard and mouse, then asking for locale setting then about network, again
about Admin password

4. asking to re-boot - and it restarts from step 3.

How do I get round it?
