Default sharing printer to NT

I have an HP 4000N shared on a win2k server, and I want to
print from an NT4 workstation. When I try to install the
printer on the NT4 machine, I just get driver error
messages. Can this be done?
PS- I tried KB 260107 and still got driver errors.
Is this because MS never made a driver for that printer in
NT4.0?

Hi Dan,

I ran into this same problem last week. I tried to
download the driver from the HP site, but only ended up
with driver errors. I was able to install from the
original 4000 CD, though. Do you still have it kicking
around?

Thanks for the prompt reply, Kathy. I tried to install it
using the original CD, but still "printer driver is
unknown" I am trying to install the win2k network printer
to the NT4 machine- is that what you mean, or did you re-
install the printer on the server with the original CD?
