Shared printer difficulties with NT/2000

I have an HP DeskJet 1000C connected directly to a Windows
NT machine. I would like to be able to print through the
network from a Windows 2000 machine. When I click 'Add
Printer' it says the correct driver is not loaded on the
NT machine, do I want to install it locally?? If I
click 'Yes', it can't seem to find the right driver. My
understanding from the HP website is that this driver
should be included with Windows 2000. If so, why is it
not being found?? Any suggestions??
