Default Remote printing from Windows 2000 server

Hi, I have a problem with a Windows 2000 server with a
dialup connection to a remote computer (running dialup
server) with a printer attached via a parallel port. I can
dial in fine and print to the printer from the Win 2000
server if the printer is installed as a Lan Manager
Printer but on the Windows 2000 server I cannot rename the
printer (which I need to be able to do) . It shows up as
\\abcd\epson2180. I have tried installing the printer
locally and then changing the port from a local port to a
TCP/IP port but this does not print. The IP address of the
server is 192.168.0.1 and the IP address of the remote
computer is set to "Obtain an IP auto" and if I run
winipcfg I get an IP of the PPP adapter as 192.168.56.1
for the computer and 192.168.56.2 for the modem. The real
issue is that the software uses the printer name from
Windows and by selecting a TCP/IP port I can give the
printer the name the software needs. Any suggestions?
