Win2K -> HP Deskjet 1220C problem

Hi,

I've upgraded from Win98se to Win2000 professional on my workstation, and my
Deskjet 1220C (which worked fine under Win98se) will not work.

I've used the original install disk supplied with the printer by HP, and
also downloaded DJ1074EN driver from HP.com but both of them hang during the
install phase saying 'installing printer driver' - (this is before the set
up has asked that the usb connection be made - it initially says leave it
disconnected)

What am I doing wrong ? The printer still works fine on another Win98se
system.
