I've wasted enough time on this! Norton says I have PWSteal.trojan on
my computer, in my windows\system32\explorer.exe file. Nortons can't quarantine it, it can't delete it. I have tried what Norton's suggests on their website, but it doesn't work either...They tell how to remove it on other versions of Windows but not XP..I've used a few trojan scanner/removers that I found online, ran SpyBot. you name it, I think I've tried it....Nothing works.. Can anyone suggest a way to get rid of this thing? Going into Safe Mode doesn't let me delete it, it says access is denied. I have XP Pro on my computer.. |

If you can't get rid of it . You could download a program
called hijackthis( Just do a search for it.) run that program. Copy the log onto your clipboard but don't remove anything yet. Then go to cexx.org. gotothe spyware help messageboard. paste your log and ask someone to check it out for you. They are very good at this kind of thing. I'm sure they can help you. -----Original Message----- >I've wasted enough time on this! Norton says I have PWSteal.trojan on >my computer, in my windows\system32\explorer.exe file.
