Default Backdoor.Trojan

Hi;

I'm running Windows XP and picked up a virus. My Norton
anti-virus software tells me it's located in:

WINNT/System32/svcinit.exe and it's a backdoor.trojan
virus.

I cannot delete the file or quarantine it. How do I get
rid of it or replace it?

Thanks,
Dan

I am having the same problem as you. I have a virus Backdoor.Trojan and my norton anitvirus hardware is not letting me get rid of it. I have tried the website and it's not showing a removal tool for the trojan. Have you been able to get rid of the virus? If so, could you please email me at sle316@alltel.net and tell me what I need to do to get rid of this? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Leisa
