Date sync with W32Time service?

I am trying to configure XP Professional to sync the
*date* along with the time of day with the time service
(W32Time). By default it seems it will only adjust skew
within a calendar day. Didn't have any trouble with this
in W2k.

I have looked up & down for documentation of the XP
version of W32Time, but nothing out there goes deeper than
setting your time server and polling period.
