I don't think you can do that ...what's the reason for hiding it anyway?
...there are other plenty of other ways of accessing Explorer. "Greg & Amber" <gregandamber@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:Odr4YITiDHA.3328@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... > My son gets into the windows explorer via right clicking the start button. > Can someone please tell me how to hide this. > > |

I believe the point was that after removing this, which I do
not believe would be that simple in XP Home, then next he will find that he can r-click on my computer to get there, etc.. You you have Pro ? If so, local policies could be used to assist you in this objective. Alternatively, if you are concerned about what he will find and/or could do by using Explorer, the solution is to use NTFS filesystem permissions effectively in order to control his access to areas and/or ability to change things. -- Roger Abell Microsoft MVP (Windows Server System: Security) MCSE (W2k3,W2k,Nt4) MCDBA "Greg and Amber" <gregandamber@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:0c8b01c3894f$2493bef0$a401280a@phx.gbl... > My son is only 5 and he knows that you can right click > the start button to get there. > >-----Original Message----- > >I don't think you can do that ...what's the reason for > hiding it anyway? > >...there are other plenty of other ways of accessing > Explorer. > > > >"Greg & Amber" <gregandamber@hotmail.com> wrote in > message > >news:Odr4YITiDHA.3328@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... > >> My son gets into the windows explorer via right > clicking the start button. > >> Can someone please tell me how to hide this. > >> > >> > > > > > >. > > |
