(There might be other solutions, but this is how I do it successfully in my
installations...)
I have set up the AppSearch | RegLocator | etc. to look for the values
during installation, repair and uninstall. It is tedious, but then you know
that you always have the correct values. It also means that the same values
will be written back during repair for example.
