ISP Dial Up Setting

I connect to ISP via Dial up modem.

In the Security Tab, if I select "Require Secured
Password", does it mean that my password for Dial Up
Networking (ISP Connection) is encrypted ?

What is the difference between using "Require Secured
Password" and "Allow Unsecured Password" ?
