Hello,
I have enabled folder redirection in my group policy to point the my documents folder to the users home dir. In the My pictures Pref I have "Do not specify administrative policy for My Pictures" I was under the assumption that this setting would stop the My pictures folder from being redirected with the rest of the folder. However my pictures shows up every even if I delete it. How can I truly stop my pictures from being redirected with the my documents file? thanks |

I wish there was a way to just get rid of my pictures, it is just an
annoyance. But what I did is redirect "my pictures" for everyone to one shared folder (h:\temp\p). This way it doesn't create the my pictures for each user and avoids the annoyance of not having the permissions to that folder (for some reason I have to take ownership and then delete to get rid of the user's share. But it is no longer an issue this way. -- Robert Cohen A legend in his own mind -- "signit" <signit@domo.com> wrote in message news:et$tLtmYDHA.2200@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > Hello, > > I have enabled folder redirection in my group policy to point the my > documents folder to the users home dir. > > In the My pictures Pref I have "Do not specify administrative policy for My > Pictures" > > I was under the assumption that this setting would stop the My pictures > folder from being redirected with the rest of the folder. > > However my pictures shows up every even if I delete it. > > How can I truly stop my pictures from being redirected with the my documents > file? > > thanks > > > |
