(urgent)group policy didn't run msi package correctly

Hello,

I got this error Message (Microsoft requires use of
the "Machine Assigned" distribution method when using
update.msi.)when I run the update.msi of sp4 on my
workstation.
And somehow when I reboot the systems again the systems
will try to install the sp4 again, isn't it suppose to run
one time only under the computer setting in group policy?
What did I do wrong please help.
