Default Permission box gray


hello, it's me again. Why did the permission checkbox
under Securities for files turned gray and has a check
mark in it...Why can't I change it? Thanks.

Hi SLU Tech,

Search Windows 2000 Help (windows.chm) for "change permissions". Note that the
fourth topic returned is on the subject of security properties of objects, is titled
"Changing inherited permissions", and the text includes the word "shaded".
