Default windows explorer - folder view

Silly thing...

when i open Windows Explorer, i see that the folder view
button is selected and the folder view pane is active, but
it is grey and nothing is there. have tried several
things, but nothing seems to work. - Search button works
and has content.

any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

TIA,

Jamey Mayden

Hi Jamey,

If you have installed Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or Microsoft Internet Explorer
6, see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base Article.

KB265829 - AddRemove Programs Tool May Not Work After Installing Internet
Explorer 5_5 or Internet Explorer 6 on Windows 2000
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=265829

"SYMPTOMS
In addition, the Folder view pane in Windows Explorer may be blank or gray
instead of having the folder tree view."
