Hi all,
Us there a way to give a user the right to only edit some records on the DNS console. I tried to give full control to a record on the DNS console, but when he tries to edit/delete that CNAME record it gives an access denied message. If that user goes to the AD Users and Computers, he is able to delete that record. Can you tell me what right is needed to be able to edit DNS records without making part of the DNSAdmins? Thanks Nuno |

I've been asked that question several times, and I'm still looking for it. -- Sincerely, Dèjì Akómöláfé, MCSE MCSA MCP+I www.akomolafe.com www.iyaburo.com Do you now realize that Today is the Tomorrow you were worried about Yesterday? -anon "Nuno" <i-noliv@online.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:u3Vdrx15DHA.2136@TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... > Hi all, > > > > Us there a way to give a user the right to only edit some records on the DNS > console. > > I tried to give full control to a record on the DNS console, but when he > tries to edit/delete that CNAME record it gives an access denied message. I don't think that's possible, I think you need to be a DNSAdmins to do this. Though you may be able to script the change without being a member of the group. Jeff |
