Default Domain Migration

I need to switch users to a new Domain/Server. (Old
Domain on a Win 2000 machine, new Domain on Win 2003
machine). I planned on simply unplugging the computers
from one hub, plugging into the new hub and logging
on.

The problem is . . . the users have some of their files
on their local computer including most importantly, their
Outlook. (The server based files are on a NAS which I
moved to the new domain. We don't have Exchange Server
yet, which is part of this migration.) When they log
onto the new domain, they get a new user profile/desktop
and no longer have access the the files stored on their
local computer, including their Outlook, which are locked
up under the old domain/user profile.

How can I migrate the desktop and user files on a single
computer, but from one domain to another? Thanks

Install the Win2003 machine on the same network as a DC
in the existing domain, transfer everything you need to
off your old DC's, then demote your win2000 DC's.
You may want to also look at the articles on Technet
around this (http://www.microsoft.com/technet)
