Question Ut2004

I haven't had UT2004 installed since October when I upgraded my motherboard and carried out a fresh OS install.

I fancy loading this thing up again now, I need a break from CoD.

So, anybody know a good site or two where I can get all the latest patches, mods & maps to bring me up to date for online?

www.unrealtournament.com patches, updates, and links to fan sites and their mods. Its one of the few games I know of that has a community like this.

Add me to the UT fan list too please, I love it!

Right... what else do you do at school when they got a 5 meg connection and 5 gig user space which you can acess and edit from home??

and as kenny says, thatsd a decent site, but is STANDARD!!

right theres a good random site here for maps mods etc...
http://unrealtournament2004.filefront.com/

i searched for unreal on a site i normally browse over;
Browse Unreal Tournament 2004 Downloads;
http://www.fileplanet.com/95483/0/s...Tournament-2004

Beyond unreal is normally quite a good source, although not all mirrors work at full speeds so watch out;
http://download.beyondunreal.com

A very large selection of maps here;
http://ut2004maps.com

Not always the fastet but softpedia lways has the latest.... the vital 3339 patch, which i searched for
http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Games/...2004-3339.shtml

UT 2004
Community Bonus Pack;
Volume 1 - http://www.fileplanet.com/files/140000/140922.shtml
Volume 2 - http://www.fileplanet.com/files/140000/141238.shtml

The ECE (editors choice edition) patch is needed in most servers now, but its a big file have fun.
http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=5499
fileshack has some good stuff too!!!

hope they help matey...
i'll have to play you one day, but my cs source days are taking over

Also i reccomend these.

XxxX weapons pack,
The 'SWS' servers, normally called ground zero,
the - Vulgar Display Of Power - server, all my mates so mention me for attention ,

alien swarm, old classic style ,
UTXMP (when they properly release it or the bot patchs suck, i reviewed it, pah)

Thanks Thermaltke - excellent

I did get the 3339 patch and some extra maps, and loaded on UT2004/patch.

But over the last 24 hours, on and off, I've been doing a fresh install. In short, I thought one of my Raptor drives was dying, half a RAID array, it was clicking and the system would freeze intermittently.

But I took the drives out, cleaned them, used new SATA data cables, used the SATA power connectors rather than the Molex plugs, and low level formatted them both.

Have just installed XP/SP2 slipstreamed and just about got everything back on there now, just Winamp to go, I think.

And now it's flying like greased lightning, something was definitely wrong before. The whole symptoms, apart from the physical clicking, smacked of a virus, but that seems unlikely.

Oh well, all is good at the moment, so I'm just about to load UT2004 on again. Luckily I saved the patch and maps to a seperate drive, so don't have to d/l them again. I shall check out the sites you recommended.

I've never played Counter Strike. I have CS:Source but am a bit wary of playing cos I shall be such a hopeless noob Suppose I gotta start somewhere though...
