Default 9800 Pro - £125.00

Not an absolute bargain, I grant you, but still a fair price if you're in the market for one of these. And it is made by Sapphire, not my favourite manufacturer, but others here own them and say they're good.

From Komplett, who I've so far found to be a good dealer.

They're in stock at time of writing. Plus postage.

Here tis

Thats true. I bought my 9800 Pro from them at £120. Probably should have returned it, I think it was faulty. The box looked like it had been opened. I can never get a decent score on 3Dmark. Although there could be a million reasons for that.

Also had problems with NFS Underground. Can anyone else post their experiences with their 9800s?

err...no.

It runs OK on balanced D3D and fairly high settings...but full on, no.

i average 6500 3Dmarks when my PC is all tuned up and overclocked...but the standard score you should be looking at with D3D on balanced, and the program on default settings, is 5800. RAM makes no difference btw.

edit: i know that was aimed at you flops... but i thought i would say something too

OK, here we go, took me a little while, but I keep me promise

System as in sig, stock speed:

Aquamark 3:

GFX: 6060
CPU: 7104
Total: 42489

3D Mark 2005: 2467

Overclocked to 2.4Ghz (fsb: 219):

Aquamark 3:

GFX: 6189
CPU: 7812
Total: 44198

3D Mark 2005: 2471

NFSU 2:

No anti-aliasing
Res: 1280 x 1024
Level of detail: 50%
Car reflection update rate: 30%
Car reflection detail: High
Car shadow/neon: 100%
Car headlight: On
Car geometry detail: High
Crowds: On
World detail: 65%
Road reflection detail: 65%

Apart from the resolution, those are all pretty much stock settings that NFSU 2 set by itself on install.
