Default Sample application Avantgo style

Could someone point me in the right direction
I would like to create and application that automatically Synchronizes when the PocktPC is connected to the PC. I want to show an icon on ActiveSync with Synchronizing status. Just like Avantgo
Note. What I need is information on how to set up the application to execute when the connection to the PC/ActiveSync is detected and if there is a way to interface with Activesync just like avantgo or any of the other Microsoft Office tasks (Calendar, tasks, Favorites...) do

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated

Search the archives for ActiveSync Service Provider. There's no way it can
be done with managed code.
