What are the .cch files in C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\CONFIG?

Default What are the .cch files in C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\CONFIG?

I looked into the same folder on other computers and did not find those .cch
files ending with random numbers.

I deleted all the .cch files and I did not have problems running my Windows
..NET applications (I did not have IIS installed on my computer).

I wonder if anyone happens to know what are the .cch files for and when were
the seemingly random files created?

They are the security resolution cache file. If you delete them, your
application will run a little bit slower initially because security system
can't use the cache to resolve security demand. Later security system will
re-generate those cache.

Yes, I already guessed that they might be some form of 'compiled' config
files. But why I get so many .cch file ending with RANDOM numbers? I can't
find similar files on other computers with the Framework installed.
