This is a very odd problem that i have begun encountering only since
last night. I maintain and create several sites within FP2002 and have done so successfully for the past 2 years. Last evening, I was performing some *find* and *replace* functions and much to my chagrin, the dialogue box simply stopped appearing :S The only thing different on my machine is that i performed a windows update and symantec live update shortly before this problem began occurring. I have since rebooted several times, removed the changes (that i could find) that both symantec and microsoft made yesterday and to be honest, i'm out of ideas. Could this be a change that occurred in the Registry or VB that might have disabled the *find*/*replace* functions? Is there anyone else experiencing this problem? I was using this function very often up until its disappearance yesterday evening. Info about my problem and my attempts at troubleshooting: 1. I have rebooted several times. 2. I run Symantec Personal Firewall and Antivirus programs 3. LiveUpdate automatically ran last evening and dl several patches. 4. Windows ran their update last evening as well and dl and installed 10 patches. 5. I never have had this particular problem before. 6. Usually, i perform maintenance and updates to my webpages *live* (work on them on the server side) 7. I even tried to work on some .html files locally to no avail. 8. Please help ![]() |

Try a Detect and Repair of your FrontPage installation - you can find it in
the FrontPage Help Menu. You will need your FrontPage CD to do this. -- ~ Kathleen Anderson Microsoft MVP - FrontPage Spider Web Woman Designs web: http://www.spiderwebwoman.com/resources/ blog: http://msmvps.com/spiderwebwoman/category/321.aspx "FrontPageCornfuzzled" <matrixviper666@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:1108772605.571063.74500@c13g2000cwb.googlegroups.com... > This is a very odd problem that i have begun encountering only since > last night. Could it be appearing off screen?
- from dragging it too far Try resetting your screen to a higher resolution to look for it -- _____________________________________________ SBR @ ENJOY (-: [ Microsoft MVP - FrontPage ] "Warning - Using the F1 Key will not break anything!"
