Pages won't open to edit them

Question: When I open FP and click on OPEN FILE to edit my site, all my
files come up in the DIR as they always have. But, when I double click on
them, nothing happens. It's blank. It's used to open the page fine, now
nothing. I've looked through all the settings (e.g., VIEW settings) and
nothing works. All the files are there, however. Very strange. Hope
someone can help! I can't edit the site at all.

You don't click open file to open a web site, you click Open Web ( open Site in FP 2003 ) and then
you open a page to edit it.

Use File Menu | Open Web / Site, then open your pages.

First you need to go File > OPEN SITE , not Open file.
