Default Pages opening in Frontpage web

Can anyone tell me how set index page to stay open (tab) while viewing other
pages on my web site?

You can only have 1 page in a web open in any view at one time unless you
open another instance of FrontPage in a new window. I wouldn't recommend it
as it could cause all sorts of problems. You can however have several
different "webs" open at a time.

Thank you for your info Wes. I was trying to have a background sound loop
through entire web site. Rather than; right mouse clicking clicking about
us/info/contact/etc. to open in new window> I didn't want to start or stop
sound; however: from continuing when viewing other pages.

Doesn't matter if you open new windows or not
- only one window can be the active one
- sound stop when the window with the sound is not active
If you really want sound to play on all pages you need to use frame and load the sound in a frame that does not change

File > Open > Page - it should allow multiple pages to open. - which version are
you using? FP 2002? or 2003?

in 2002, click the 'tab' of the file you want to edit. Maybe in FP 2003 you have
to click "window" menu and select the file to make it the "active" document (like
you currently do in for example MS Word 2000 or Excel 2000)

that's a step backwards.....in Frontpage 2002, you can have multiple pages
within the same web open at once.

I interpreted it as "viewing" multiple pages, not just opening them. Makes
no difference now since he was talking about his website outside of FP.
Often, one has to be clairvoyant to interpret the poster's questions.

I'm still confused as to what he is asking.

I *think* he's asking how to keep his index page open with music playing
while users view other pages? Not my *cup of tea*, since I only want music
if *I* want it. Hate listening to stuff that I don't care for and not be
able to turn it off. My solution...Move to another site in 10 sec.(or less)
