Default How do I convert a website to FrontPage?

I am new with FrontPage and can create a website, no problem. Now, I want to
take an old website and convert it to Front Page. I know that I have to use
the Extentions, some how, but I do not know how. Can someone help?

Thanks!

Hi Sansuzanna,

The easiest method would be to create an empty web site using FP then import the page from the old site into it or create a web
site at the root of the old web site, open FP then do a Tools | Recalc Hyperlinks so that FP meta data can be created.

Okay. 2 questions: 1)Once I import the old site, I can edit and post it??
2)If I try the other way you suggested, can you explain to me what you mean
by "create a web site at the root of the old web site"?

Thanks for your help so far!!

Essentially, open FP, create a new blank website, then point FP at the
website you want, and "publish" it to that blank web.

You can also import it, but for some reason Publish seems to work better.

Once you get it on your local computer you can edit it and republish back to
the original website as needed.
