Default No WYSIWYG in FP

Hi,

Still having problems with non WYSIWYG interface in FP:

1) I just want to make a table cell shorter, but when I try to resize it,
nothing happens. Any ideas why this might be?

2) I have a left border with background tile and a table of exactly the
same height. In "Normal" mode, the bottom of the table lines up exactly
with the bottom of the left border, but in preview/actual mode, the left
border is some 1cm longer than the table height - how do you get "Preview"
mode to look like "Normal" mode??

3) I have a table in a table. I want to resize the inner table to make
it narrower. When I select the table and try to resize the right side, I
get a stupid dotted line on the end of the mouse pointer, but no resize -
what are you supposed to do?

4) Same table in a table, but characters at right are cut-off, even though
there is supposed to be word wrap. How do you stop this happening?

Please help, it's such a battle to do the simplest things.

Dave

What are you doing to 'make it shorter'? What does the rest of the table
look like. Remember that you are no longer working with Word, and that HTML
tables have very little operational similarity to Word tables.

By adjusting your expectations. It's likely that you will never get this
scheme to work reliably cross-browser/platform in HTML. If you are trying
to make the table have a left border, then that border must be part of the
table.

It would depend entirely on your code. Can I see it?

Yes, it can be. That's HTML, though.

I had the same simular problem and how I fixed it was instead of drawing a
table I used the INSERT-TABLE and the table formatting comes up to the right
side and I was able to have better control.
