Default how to make an automatic response

I've got a form on my website that asks for people to submit their info if
they want to be kept updated on various activities in the area - is there a
way to make an automatic response?

not within frontpage, but third party products can do this - like email
notification when a web site is updated - is that the kind of thing you want?

Or do you just want the script to send them an acknowledgement type email?

try www.bignosebird.com or www.hotscripts.com for form handlers that have the
auto response feature.
