What happens? What error messages do you get?

Many thanks for coming back to me so quickly.

I go through the installation procedure as normal, and after the
installation window shows the progress bar the content changes to read (in
red) "Installation unsuccessful ..." but with no further details. I then
click on finish and I receive a standard page with options but with no
further error messages or information. When I attempt to follow the
instructions to download the administrator's version (i.e. a full version)
and then install that I receive the same message - just the fact that the
installation has been unsuccessful, but without telling me why. Is there
anything else I can do?
