I noticed that when I changed from SP1 to SP2, the boot screen changed
from "XP embedded" to just "XP". I know that I cannot change the boot screen as per the EULA, but I am wondering if I can replace the SP2 boot screen with the SP1 boot screen so that it still would say "XP embedded"? kevin |

As far as the "XP" -vs- "XP Embedded" screen difference, it's my understanding (and I may be wrong) that it was done to make localization easier. "XP" is a language independant name for the OS line. The word "Embedded" would probably need to be localized per language. -- Gordon Smith (eMVP) -- Avnet Applied Computing Solutions |

kevin,

Correct - I didn't mean to imply that you can edit Microsoft's boot screen.
You can have it use yours instead of theirs.
