Default Window Media Player 10 Add-In problem

Running Win XP and FP 2002.

On a blank FP page I can add Windows Media Player and choose the
sounds I want to play and choose the order they play. Everything is
fine.

But, when I go to the page I have posted to my web site and try to do
the same thing I get this message.

"This page must be saved to a web prior to inserting a media player"

I can work around this by doing the following which I found on this
newsgroup.

"Open page you wish to insert player onto; Insert - Web component -
Advanced Controls - Plug-in - Finished"

But, when I do this and I want to have several different songs played
I get several different Windows Media Players on the web page and each
song plays at the same time. I could live with this if the songs
played incrementally.

Any help appreciated.

TIA

You need to open your entire site (or a copy of it) as a
FrontPage Web, and then configure Media Player.

Always open the Web site first, and only then any pages
it contains.

Thank you for your reply. I don't understand what you mean. I only
have one page. It is a long one though and I thought since I was using
FP 2002 that I could only make FP web sites. And I still don't
understand why I can open a new blank page in FP and insert Media
Player easily and everything works but when I try and insert it into
my web page it doesn't work.

Thanks again. I appreciate you help.

Even if your site contains only one page, you should start by choosing
Open Wite from the File menu, and then specifying the folder tht
contaisn the page.

If you think about it, you'll see that your site *does* contain
multiple files. For example, contains your music files and any
pictures your page display.
