When our users try to go to a server and open a folder
they recieve the error: An unexpected error occured: Not enough memory available to complete the operation. Close other programs to make more memory available, and then try again. I have tried closing all possible applications and processes that might be running and still get the message. Has anyone else ever seen this issue? Thanks, |

Hi Coby,
Have you tried the usual repairs 1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files 2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files 3) Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins 4) Run a Repair / Reinstall on FP & IE6 -- Mike -- FrontPage MVP '97-'02 http://www.websunlimited.com FrontPage Add-ins Since '97 FP 2003 / 2002 / 2000 Compatible "Coby Boring" <coby-boring@sandhills.com> wrote in message news:2ebe101c46b46$4f1ed540$a301280a@phx.gbl... > When our users try to go to a server and open a folder > they recieve the error: An unexpected error occured: Not > enough memory available to complete the operation. I have tried all of that and it still happens. Does
Frontpage cache files when you try to open a folder from a server? >-----Original Message----- >Hi Coby, > >Have you tried the usual repairs >1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files >2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files >3) Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins >4) Run a Repair / Reinstall on FP & IE6 > >-- >Mike -- FrontPage MVP '97-'02 >http://www.websunlimited.com >FrontPage Add-ins Since '97 FP 2003 / 2002 / 2000 Compatible > >"Coby Boring" <coby-boring@sandhills.com> wrote in message news:2ebe101c46b46$4f1ed540$a301280a@phx.gbl... >> When our users try to go to a server and open a folder >> they recieve the error: An unexpected error occured: Not >> enough memory available to complete the operation. occasionally I get that error when frrontpage is attempting to list the files in
the Open FIle dialogue - and often I only have frontpage open - and it still brings up that "not enough memory" error. Explain "open a Folder"
FP can only open a FP root web, or a subweb (if the host permits it) on a server running the FP SE or WSS -- _____________________________________________ SBR @ ENJOY (-: [ Microsoft MVP - FrontPage ] "Warning - Using the F1 Key will not break anything!"
