I had a navigation prob with FP2002(that I exchanged for
a a new copy) and it still occurred while using WindowsME. One of you good folks recommended upgrading Windows..that ME has problems. So I got Windows XP Pro.functioning and downloaded FP with no problem. In other unrelated incidences with lots of error messages I had to reformat the drive and start fresh. With Windows xp Pro reinstalled and functioning I now get "Product Compliance ..Setup failed to locate qualifying product on your machine...etc." So I tried all previous versions with the same "Product Compliance" issue. Where do I go from here? |

When it asks that, insert the CD for a "full install" of an older version of FrontPage. An older
"upgrade" version will not work. -- Steve Easton Microsoft MVP FrontPage 95isalive This site is best viewed............ ........................with a computer "Mary Beth" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2249c01c45c86$de84e180$a001280a@phx.gbl... > I had a navigation prob with FP2002(that I exchanged for > a a new copy) and it still occurred while using > WindowsME. Dear Steve:
I get the exact "Compliance message " with the full version FP98 as well. Why would it download OK last week & not this week? Thanks for your help. The term "qualifying product" indicates that you are using an upgrade disk to try to perform a
"clean install." Since you formatted the drive, there is no version of FP installed on the machine. *If* the copy of 98 is a "Full install" and not an upgrade, start installing 2002, when it gives you the "qualifying version prompt" don't do anything except open the CD drawer, put in the 98 CD close the drawer and then click OK. ( or if it has the option point it to the CD drive ) If the 98 CD was also an upgrade CD, it will not work. -- Steve Easton Microsoft MVP FrontPage 95isalive This site is best viewed............ ........................with a computer <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:21ed201c45c8f$900657b0$a301280a@phx.gbl... > Dear Steve: > I get the exact "Compliance message " with the full > version FP98 as well. Dear Steve,
Thanks, That worked..put 2002 in first, then FP98 after pointing to CD Rom Drive, then 2002 back in and install.>- ----Original Message----- >The term "qualifying product" indicates that you are using an upgrade disk to try to perform a >"clean install." if you're talking about the Trial versions - I don't think these qualify as
'previous products'. you need the retail version(s). <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:21ed201c45c8f$900657b0$a301280a@phx.gbl... > Dear Steve: > I get the exact "Compliance message " with the full > version FP98 as well.
