Default Guestbook not working

I posted a question yesterday asking for help in making a guestbook. Got
several answers. I went to the web sites that have instructions about
establishing a guestbook and followed their instructions.

I published the guestbook pages to my web. Its' not working. Here is what
happens.

I go to the guestbook.htm page and enter a comment and hit the SUBMIT
button.

Instead of a confirmation, I get a "page not found" error and the URL
address changes to http://www.myweb.com/_derived/nortbots.htm.

What's the problem?

Thanks.

Make sure you host has the FrontPage extensions installed on your server account. Have
them repair or reinstall them.
Then republish using http://myweb.com
Then try it.

1. Does the server have the FP extensions?
2. If yes, did you publish the your site to the server via FP's http mode?

If the server doesn't have the extensions or used FTP to upload, then the guest book will not work.

Joe,

In adition, the Guestbook has default settings which help
it work properly.

The file path is guestlog.htm and results are HTML
definition list. If you changed these, you may have
rendered the Guestbook inoperable.
