preview not showing hover button & updates

Two Issues

(1) I have just upgraded to FP 2002 from 2000. In preview, the hover
buttons won't display. I trued replacing the button but the behaviour is
the same. When I upload the page the button performs perfectly. It's an
annoyance really. Why doesn't preview show me the hover button as
displayed.

(2) The rest of Office on my system is still version 2000. When I go to
Office Update it prompts me to download Service Pack 1 ... but only Front
Page applies on my system ... none of the other applications. What should I
do? Wouldn't the update compromise the other applications in the suite?

1) Use File | Preview in browser. The Java applets do not show in preview,
which is not a full fledged browser.

2) It's asking you to install SP1 for FP 2002, which is considered part of
the office suite, and will not affect your 2000 office apps.

Thanks for the button info. That's one change from 2000. The button did
show in Preview with that version (?).

On the update issue I am still a little cautious.

In the light of your comment does that mean that the update will only select
FP2002 from that list?

As far as the Hover buttons, I won't get into the several paragraph
discussions many do. Review the dozens of posts in this newsgroup every
week that address the issue and explain why you shouldn't use them.

Regarding the updates: "FrontPage 2002" is the key. That's what it will
update. Do or don't, your choice. ;-)
