Default FP 03 - set up issues ??

i have upgraded to FP 03, and immediately all of my sites i cannot upload via ftp. I can use http protocols, but the ftp hangs or returns error messages.

i also recently had to change from dsl to a satellite link, a business grade, with upload speeds respectable enough to deal with large volume transfers and a VPN, (even with a miniscule lag time) ....

i am at a loss to troubleshoot, not knowing if the upgrade has idiosyncracies i have yet to discover, or whether its a firewall issue from my ISP satellite.

Any ideas

Janie

FTP require access to port 21
- check your firewall and satellite settings

I use broadband and don't go thru an FTP. Is there some reason you *must*?

If they won't allow the port 21, there is no workaround for FTP.

i have upgraded to FP 03, and immediately all of my sites i cannot upload via ftp. I can use http protocols, but the ftp hangs or returns error messages.

*****************

i use the FTP within FP to upload to sites without FP etxns
