Background sound doesn't work and inactive

I have a background sound embedded on page load and it
never works. It's a very short wav file, maybe 3 or 4
seconds long. I have two others I want to embed in two
other pages and when I right click on the pages and click
on Page Properties, the entire Background Sound portion
of the dialog box is inactive. I can't even use it. Nor
on the page where there's already something embedded.
Why? How do I make this section active again? And why
won't the one I have even work? Thanks.

What is the url to the page you have sound on?

Something you could try checking is your compatibility
(Browser) setting in FP. Netscape does not support the
bgsound tag used by FP / IE.

Go to Tools> Page Options> Compatibility
(Depending on Version it might be different)

Thanks. It's set for IE and seems compatible with
everything I have. I don't know.

If you are using a theme, many of the page properties are disabled

IMHO do not use background sound
Instead use the OBJECT or EMBED tags in you page - see
