I'm not sure this is the right place for this, but I need
some advice. I uninstalled frontpage 2002 (I started using Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004) but I can't delete the Frontpage\version 3.0\bin directory to delete..... no matter what I do. Since XP is really not dos based, the command prompt (which looks like a dos program, but really is just an emulator) doesn't afford true ms dos operating and I can't take it out from there either. The error message is a program or person is using it and to shut down the offending program. problem is, I can't find anything using it. I've removed every entry from the registry and every file or directory that referenced Frontpage and it wtill won't go away. Re-booting doesn't help either. I tried re-installing Frontpage but since it was an upgrade and I erased every reference to it, the program can't find a qualifying product to even re- install. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

You can not delete that directory. The directory was not create by the
installation of FP, it was created by the installing of Windows and is actually in use by the OS. So just disregard it. -- ============================================== Thomas A.
