Default Problem viewing websites made with Frontpage

Hello. I am currently the web editor for a professional
organization and I use FrontPage to create the pages. I
recently found out that many of the members who use Mac
machines cannot view my webpages. What can I do so that
they may view the webpage too?

Hi there. Thanks for your reply. The site I work on is
http://www.ocss.org

I'm not sure if it is all Macs, but I've had several
teachers that can't view my images or pics on Macs they
use at their schools to view the page.

You are using bmp images which don't display in all browsers and you have
spaces in filenames which cal also cause problems.

Stay with JPG or GIF images, JPG for photos, etc. GIF for limited number of
solid colors.

Anne,
Convert color photos and other images with many colors or many gradations of
color to .jpg (also called .jpeg). Convert images with few colors or
gradations (for example, simple text buttons on single-color backgrounds,
and the like) to .gif.

If you don't have an image manipulation program on your hard drive for these
purposes, consider (among many to choose from) a simple, cheap one like
PaintShopPro (http://www.jasc.com/) or IrfanView
(http://www.irfanview.com/).

I use a simple program called WebGraphicsOptimizer (http://www.webopt.com/)
to further reduce the filesize of graphics intended for web use after first
resizing them and adding borders and whatnot in PaintShopPro. But I believe
graphics optimization is also native to PSP and the other programs
mentioned, as well.

Hope this helps.
