i need serious help. im ok with computers an i can figure out whqat to do if i have instructions.
bascially i have new computer an i have bought hl2. the probelm is that i cannot a.) run half life as it come up with a box saying " unnsupoorted video card" however my minum systme requiremtns are ok. my system specifications are : processor information : vedor: genuineintel speed: 2800 mhz 1 logical processor 1 physical processor hyper threading :unsupported RDTSC : supported CMOV: supported FCMOV : supported SSE: supported SSE2 : supported 3d now : unsupported network info. network speed modem 56k windows version : xp service pack 1 bulid 2600 NTFS : supported vidoe card river: sisgrv.dlltype : sis 651c vednor id :4153 device id : 25392 version : 6.14.10.3581. render mode : open gl screen size 800 pixels bit depth 16 memory RAM 447 mb what update/ software/ hardware, do i need to run hl2 ??? i have a feeling that i need driveres to support the hyperthreading and the 3D now card. also i have got to the loading screen on hl2 but it is very blured an crashes after around 3 minutes of loading. please help me !!! thanks guys |

Basicly your graphics card isnt supported for Half Life 2. You really need a fully Direct X9 compatible card like an Ati Radeon 9000 and above. But to have some decent detail you should really be going for the Ati Radeon 9800pro which is about £140. I'm not sure on whihc Nvidia cards are fully supportive of Direct X9, but i'm guessing all the FX series.

i really havent got that kind of money anything cheaper that would work?
also my comp does have direct x 9.0 thanks anyway |
