Remote Desktop & Mapped Drives

When I remote desktop to a system on my network (Win 2k3 domain and XP
Clients) if the remote system is not already logged in it does not map all
of my network drives. If I am already logged in on that system and then
remote desktop to it it seems to be fine because I am just taking over the
console session. Just looking for some info on this.
