Default 3 days left for activation, no hardware change

The only thing I can remember doing related to hardware is
uninstalling the software for my Kodak camera.....

No on boot, and periodically during normal operation, I get the
reminder "3 days left for activation" due to major hardware change.
When I click on the message to activate, the message bubble
disappears, only to reappear later in the session or on reboot.

Where do I turn off this reminder?
or how do I "re-activate" in spite of not really having a qualifying
event?

Thanks.

Possible Resolution:

Go to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 regwizc.dll , and hit enter.
Then go again to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 licdll.dll , and hit enter again.

Apparently, and I can't say how, the above files became unregistered.
