TextTone is an application for 32-bit Windows that can assist you in
creating HTML code for sections of web page text that have a graduated
colour effect. Besides looking rather cool, this kind of effect in a web
page can make for eye-catching text and great headlines.

But just what is a graduated colour effect? Let's have an example - the
words "Colourful Stuff!", with a blue to red fade. The first couple of
characters of the text start out in blue, and the further across the word
you get, the colour of each character will get nearer to red. Overall, the
colouring of the word would go blue, purple, red.
