I think you would have to do that anyway when selecting beyond the bottom of the screen. What's annoying is when you use the "Find (on this page...)" function. When the word is found it is highlighted at the bottom (last line) of the page, if the word was not in the screen view. You are most likely going to want to scroll to read what is below the selected word. Since scrolling is messed up, i.e. clicking the bottom scroll button jumps 10-15 lines, instead of one line as it should, or jumps a couple of pages when you click in the scroll bar either above or below the slide button, instead of one page as it should, the word becomes un-selected and thus difficult to find.
