We have clients working on a Terminal Server installed in
Application mode on a Windows
2000 Server in a 2000 Domain running in native mode, the
server is
Dual 1GHZ processor with 4GB of RAM.
Installed Apps are - office 2k pro, etc...
We are having random disconnect problems with the
clients. If you can help please let me know.
Thanks

Dan, can you be a bit more specific about the circumstances?

What SP is your Terminal Server

What kind of connection are the clients connecting over, i.e. LAN, T3, T1, xDSL, 802.11x, ISDN, Dial-up

What RDP Client version are they using, i.e. 5.0, 5.1 or 5.2

If these are people connecting over a WAN connection, what kind of network connection do you have on your end and what percentage of the pipe use free

Ok...are these clients local? Can you run a continuous
ping to the clients to see if their connection is stable?

As a side note, if the underlying connection to the users
is unstable and is dropping packets, there probably isn't
going to be anything you can do to make this not
disconnect users. The only thing to do is to upgrade
connections.
