Hello,

I connect with winxppro terminal client to a win2000 server and winxp
pro workstation via vpn.
The connection itself works perfect, but the locale resources,
like printers and drives won´t be mapped to the terminal client
session.
Any idea ?

Thank you,

best regards,

Sveeny

Local drive redirection is not natively supported on a W2K TS. You
need Windows 2003 TS or Citrix on top of W2K TS for that.

Printer redirection should work. Check if it is enabled on the server
and the client. If it still doesn't work, check your EventLog to see
if you have any Events regarding printer autocreation.

Drives aren't redirected in the client session because RDP
5.0 in Windows 2000 doesn't support this. However, the
RDP version in XP (5.1) does.

Printer redirection requires that you install the printer
driver onto the server prior to the client connecting.
Just install a printer locally using the drivers off the
Windows 2000 (if the server is 2000) disk and you should
be fine.
